About

Welcome! I’m Sarah Finks.

My goal is to add more substance to your life than you ever imagined possible by giving you tools that you can use to improve your life. Translation?

I’m here to make you so good at being a mom that your cup runneth over and you are ready to change the world with your amazing gifts.

Three Boys is where I give you weekly tips for running your house in a simple, natural, and graceful way. You will not find a lot of doily crafts around these parts (although I do peek at them on pinterest.) You will find ways to make your life easier.

The Business Of Motherhood is where I give you weekly tips on YOU, just YOU. In order to become the rock star mom that I know you can be you need to work on yourself. Being a mom is the toughest job out there and there is NO training, No instruction book, nada. No wonder it is overwhelming, right?

Think Martha Stewart, Oprah, Sophi Uliano, and a side of Maria Montessori.

I am a domestic strategist, a spiritual maven, and a natural living Momma.

In my former life, before I became a stay at home mom I was a Nurse Practitioner and chronic over achiever.

Since giving birth to three children in two years, I have come to understand what it takes to grab motherhood by the reins and teach it to fly in formation.

I help moms dream big and back it up with daily tips that create results.

My commitment is to bring you the best of what I am living and learning and will keep it “real life” and honest as I go.

Please don’t expect perfection, I get muddy with the kids, let the dog track dirt in the house, and make mistakes, A LOT.

Professional BIO

I started my career in nursing as an ICU nurse at the University of Cincinnati. After 3 years as an ICU nurse, I decided to return to school to get my Master’s degree in Nursing specializing in Adult Acute Care. Following graduation my husband and I were living in Portland, Oregon where I worked at a large family practice clinic managing the clinic as well as counselling patients on healthy living and weight loss. The following year, my husband and I moved once again and I found myself as the Clinical Nurse Specialist at the University of Michigan. In 2007, when my oldest son was born I decided to stay home with him. In 2009 identical twin boys arrived. Finally in 2011 I decided to take full advantage of my love of organizing and nursing background and made the jump to small business owner.

I understand what it is like to feel completely overwhelmed under the pressure of running a home, and raising small children. I found myself hearing from mother after mother how exhausted they were and how they would just have to wait to get their lives back until the kids were older. I was home with 3 boys 2 and under, no family to help, a new house that we moved into 2 months before the twins were born. It was all I could do to make it through the day. I found myself thinking… “I have a Master’s degree… why can’t I do this?!”

But when they were about 6 months old I decided that there HAD to be a better way. So I used all of my skills to create the life I wanted. I worked hard to turn my health around, mastered my own inner demons, and got my home in order. It was such an amazing transformation for me and my family. The saying about mom being happy makes the rest of the family happy is soooo true. I look back to just 2 years ago and can’t believe the transformation in my relationship with my husband. I can’t even believe it.

I will help  you take charge of your success and happiness by boosting your mom skills and shedding those inner demons.
