Eames Style Chair- A Makeover

A few weeks ago  a client brought me this awesome chair. She was covered in black vinyl, had lost her tufts, and the bottom of the chair and ottoman were all rusted. I also had to replace the tilting mechanism. If you were sitting in the chair and leaned back you would be on the floor. Not ideal.

I removed the old vinyl, cleaned off the stainless steel legs, replaced the tilting mechanism, added piping and of course tufts. Tada! I love the fabric she picked out. You can find it at Joann Kas Oslo Amethyst. I love Kas fabrics, it is the same company that made the fabric for this re-upolstery project.

Eames Chair

I have to say this is so comfy, I was going to drop it off today but the owners aren’t available until Thursday. Darn it, I’ll have to enjoy sitting in it for a two more days. I had no idea they were so comfortable!
