When we moved into this house two years ago, these little beauties adorned the walls in our guest bathroom. I know cool lanterns but REALLY not the look I was going for. I took them down over 6 months ago and they have been sitting in the closet waiting, for me to take a RISK.
First I took the electrical hardware out.
Put them back together and gave them a well needed bath.
A little Rust-Oleum antique white spray paint.
A little sanding and distressing.
Antique Glaze

Not to bad for FREE!! Here is where I found my inspiration.

What a great makeover. These would be darling on a patio.
Beyond beautiful!
Love the look! Candles were such a great idea. Now they can go anywhere with you. I think I'm going to have to search for something similar for my outside sitting area. How romantic!
