It has happened to all of us. The horribly scalded pan. Do you even TRY to scrub this off or is it there to stay?
- scalded pot or pan
- firm spatula
- Cover the scald with an ample amount of salt
- Fill the pan with just enough water to cover the salt and scalded area.
- Let sit over night.
- In the morning put the pan with the water on to the stove on low heat. Allow the water to heat up and start to scrape the pan with a firm spatula.
- Scrub until clean.
* If it is a severe scald you may have to repeat this process.
